Drugs and the Brain

To do the following you will click on the title of the blog.

1. To begin, read "Neurons Transmit Messages to the Brain," and all 10 slides of, "The Reward Pathway Reinforces Behavior." (This is the demo w/ the sandwich.)

2. Make sure you understand how the Reward Pathway works, then answer the following question in the comment box below.

Question: How do you think the functioning of the reward pathway could contribute to drug addiction?

3. Respond to at least three of your classmates' posts.

4. Explore and enjoy the rest of the website. You may find the "Drugs of Abuse" link the upper right-hand corner interesting.
